Jona is a comprehensive job search and career management platform that provides:

  • AI-Powered Matching: Intelligent matching of resumes to job opportunities
  • Application Tracking: Management and tracking of job applications
  • AI Content Generation: Automated generation of cover letters and resume optimization suggestions

2.2 Organization Features

  • Multi-tenant organization management
  • Team member tracking and progress monitoring
  • Certification and employment milestone tracking
  • Manager dashboards and reporting

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Account Types

  • Organization Accounts: For businesses and teams managing multiple members
  • Organization Member Accounts: For individuals affiliated with an organization

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Abuse the Service or its features

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

4.1 Free and Paid Services

Jona offers both free and subscription-based services. Free tier users have access to limited features, while paid subscribers receive enhanced functionality.

4.2 Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor
  • You agree to provide accurate billing information
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated

4.3 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 You Agree NOT to:

6.2 License Grant

By submitting content to Jona, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Store and process your content to provide the Service
  • Use AI technologies to analyze and match your content with opportunities
  • Generate derivative content (optimized resumes, cover letters) at your request
  • Display your content to authorized users within your organization (if applicable)

6.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your content and represent that:

  • You own or have the right to submit the content
  • The content is accurate and not misleading
  • The content does not violate any third-party rights
  • The content complies with all applicable laws

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Jona and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Be free from errors
  • Meet specific employer requirements

  • Job boards (Indeed, Dice, Monster, ZipRecruiter, CareerBuilder, and others)

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

10. Organization Accounts

10.1 Organization Administrators

Organization administrators and managers have additional responsibilities:

  • Ensuring member compliance with these Terms
  • Protecting member data and privacy
  • Managing access permissions appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate organization records

10.2 Member Data

Organizations collecting member data through Jona must:

  • Have appropriate authorization to collect such data
  • Use member data only for legitimate purposes
  • Comply with all applicable privacy laws
  • Not misuse member employment tracking features

11. Disclaimers

11.1 "As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • AVAILABILITY OR RELIABILITY
  • ACCURACY OF JOB LISTINGS OR MATCHING

11.2 Job Information

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of job listings from third-party sources
  • Availability of listed positions
  • Response from employers
  • Employment outcomes

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Exclusion of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JONA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Cost of substitute services
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service

12.2 Cap on Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jona, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your content
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
